Class Tahoe Farmer's Daughter

Class meets March 10, April 14, May 12, June 9, and June 30, 2026 from 10 am - 1 pm.

Class includes pattern and all fabrics for top and binding in a kit for your convenience.  Kit and pattern will be distributed the first class session.

Are you a detail-oriented quilter up to a challenge?  Join Marilyn and make Editya Sitar's Tahoe quilt in our new Farmer's Daughter collection of fabrics!  This stunning 84x84" quilt evokes a Western vibe with its muted colors and intricate details.  Marilyn will guide you through project organization, how to handle fabrics cut on the bias, and advanced piecing and pressing techniques so you can reach the finish line successfully. This class is advanced level; you must know how to operate your machine confidently and navigate problems on your own.

In an effort to keep classes affordable, we ask that you purchase all supplies and materials from Marietta's Quilt & Sew.  Before purchasing materials, check to make sure that the class minimum of 3 students has been met. Students are eligible for a 10% discount on supplies purchased for class; online customers should make a note at checkout listing name of class and which items apply to have the discount applied manually.

By signing up for a class, you agree to in-class photography, which we use on our social media to promote the MQS class experience to others.

Fabric kit (INCLUDED; will be distributed on first class day)

Writing pencil

6x24" ruler

6x12" OR 6 1/2 x 12 1/2"  ruler

Best Press or Terial Magic

Rotary cutter and minimum 18 x 24" cutting mat

Sewing machine in good working order, with foot pedal and power cord

1/4" quilting foot

Neutral thread

Extra needles

Scissors 

Extra bobbins

Fabric markers

Lunch or snack to eat during class

Marilyn highly recommends (but does not require) the Laundry Basket Quilts Tahoe Template.  It will simplify your trimming! We should be able to stock these before class begins.
