Marietta’s Quilt & Sew — Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Marietta’s Quilt & Sew, we work hard to ship your order quickly, safely, and at a fair price. Below is our complete Shipping & Delivery Policy, including standard shipping, freight, furniture delivery, and handling of oversized machines.

Order Processing Times

Most orders ship within 1–4 business days.

Some items ship directly from the manufacturer or distributor and may require an additional 2–5 business days for processing.

If an item is not in stock at our warehouse, we will order it from our vendor. This can cause additional delays of up to two weeks or more depending on vendor availability.

Custom-made items ship once completed. Their individual product pages will list estimated time frames.

Business days exclude weekends and holidays.

Carriers Used

We primarily ship via:

  • UPS
  • USPS
  • FedEx

For orders qualifying for free shipping, the carrier is selected at our discretion.
We cannot accommodate requests for specific carriers on free shipping orders.

Please provide a valid street address.
UPS cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.
If shipping to a P.O. Box, please select a USPS option.

Shipping Rates

We offer two service levels for domestic shipments within the United States:

Economy Shipping (5–8 Business Days)

  • Orders $99.00+ → FREE
  • Orders $0–$98.99 → $12.00
  • Orders 5 lb – 70 lb → $19.90

Standard Shipping (3–4 Business Days)

  • 0–1 lb → $12.00
  • 1–5 lb → $12.00

Free Shipping Policy

Free shipping applies to most orders over $99 within the contiguous 48 states.

Not eligible for free shipping:

  • Oversized sewing machines
  • Longarm packages (machine + frame combinations)
  • Multi-needle embroidery machines
  • Furniture, cabinets, cutting tables, and heavy equipment
  • Any item requiring oversized freight
  • Orders outside the contiguous U.S. (including Alaska, Hawaii, APO)

Actual shipping rates apply to excluded items.

Tracking Information

We provide tracking information for most orders.
Tracking is shared as soon as it becomes available from the carrier or vendor.

If a manufacturer does not provide tracking, we cannot offer an exact delivery date.

In-Store Pickup (South Carolina Customers)

You may choose Free In-Store Pickup at checkout.

Pickup is normally ready within 2–5 days depending on whether the item is stocked at your chosen store or must be transferred from our warehouse.

We will contact you when your order is ready for pickup.

Oversized Machines & Freight Shipping

Some machines and furniture cannot ship via standard ground due to weight and size.

Oversized freight items include:

  • Longarm quilting packages (machine + frame)
  • Multi-needle embroidery machines
  • Oversized sewing machines
  • Furniture and cabinets
  • Heavy tables, chairs, and storage units

Freight Delivery Terms

  • Someone must be present to receive and sign for the shipment.
  • The freight carrier will typically call ahead to schedule delivery.
  • Delivery is curbside: end of driveway or an accessible flat area.
  • Drivers do not move items into your home.
  • Inspect the shipment before signing.
    • If you see damage: refuse delivery and note “damaged” with the carrier.
  • Keep all packaging until you verify the shipment is complete and satisfactory.
  • Report any concerns to us within 24 hours.

Freight charges range from $199–$399, depending on size, weight, and distance.

Sewing Machine Shipping

Most home sewing machines can ship via insured carrier service.

Standard Machine Shipping

  • Fully insured
  • Signature required
  • Tracking included

Oversized Machines

(Longarms, multi-needle machines, machine + frame packages)

These ship by freight.

Furniture Delivery

Below are our delivery options for Koala, Arrow, and Kangaroo products.

Koala Studios

  • $199 — Outside Front Door Delivery
    Fully assembled cabinets delivered to a flat, ground-level surface outside your home.
  • $399 Room of Choice Delivery
    Includes bringing the cabinet into your preferred room and limited assembly.
  • Additional Koala models delivered together:
    +$199 per extra model for Room of Choice service.

Arrow & Kangaroo

  • Assembled Kangaroo Cabinets:
    White Glove Delivery: $499
    Includes room-of-choice placement, unpacking, and packaging removal.
  • If Premium Delivery is selected, the delivery team will bring the cabinet to your room of choice on a first-floor level (no second floors (or above) or basements) and remove all packaging. Light assembly, such as inserting drawers, may still be required.
  • Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) Kangaroo Cabinets:
    Ship for no additional charge.
    White Glove option available only in the contiguous U.S.

Damaged, Missing, or Lost Packages

If your package arrives damaged:

  1. Photograph the box and all contents.
  2. Do not discard packaging.
  3. Contact us within 24–48 hours.

For lost or delayed packages, contact us and we will assist in tracking or filing a claim.

Once a shipment is signed for, responsibility transfers to the customer.
