Class: Scrapbusters!

Class meets April 23, 2026 from 12 - 4 pm.

Grab your scrap bin and join Sandi to put a dent in that pile!  Sandi will demonstrate how to use two sets of Creative Grids rulers to make a fun, scrappy project in a hurry.  You can turn your finished blocks into a quilt top, a table runner, or any other project of your choice.  Choose one of  the Scrap Crazy 6" or 8" ruler sets and get ready to turn your scraps into something useful.  Confident beginners on up.

In an effort to keep classes affordable, we ask that you purchase all supplies and materials from Marietta's Quilt & Sew.  Before purchasing materials, check to make sure that the class minimum of 3 students has been met. Students are eligible for a 10% discount on supplies purchased for class; online customers should make a note at checkout listing name of class and which items apply to have the discount applied manually.

By signing up for a class, you agree to in-class photography, which we use on our social media to promote the MQS class experience to others.

Supplies needed:

Creative Grids Scrap Crazy 6" ruler set OR 8" ruler set

Assorted scraps of quilting cotton from your stash--feel free to swap pieces with other students and the teacher for more variety!

Neutral or matching thread

Sewing machine with foot pedal and power cord

Extra needles and bobbins

1/4" quilting foot

Clips or pins

Rotary ruler, rotary cutter with fresh new blade, and mat

Travel iron and mat ... you will be ironing a lot!

Suggested/optional:

Straight ruler

Fabric for sashing/border

Snack to eat during class
