February class meets February 17, 2026 from 1 - 3:30 pm.

March class meets March 31, 2026 from 1 - 3:30 pm.

If you haven't taken Mr. Fixit Part 1 (previously titled "Meet Mr. Fixit"), we recommend (but do not require) that you take that before this class.

Join Keith, our head repair technician, for a hands-on workshop to learn how to resolve common machine problems at home!  He'll cover common threading and tension problems, changing needles, routine maintenance, and much more.  This class is best for owners of Janome or Baby Lock machines up to 15 years old -- other brands and older machines do not offer as many options for self-maintenance.  No previous experience needed.

Please note--this class used to be called "Keep It Spiffy."  If you already took that class, you do not need this one.

No materials are required for this class.  However, students may use their 10% supplies discount to pick up machine maintenance items like screwdrivers and lint brushes after class.

By signing up for a class, you agree to in-class photography, which we use on our social media to promote the MQS class experience to others.

Supplies needed:

Bring your sewing or embroidery machine, including power cord

Machine manual for machine-specific care requirements

Any cleaning tools that came with your machine (lint brushes & screwdrivers)

Please bring pen or pencil to take notes.
