Class GREENVILLE Adult Basic Sewing

In an effort to offer more Saturday class options, this class will meet at We're In Stitches in Greenville (directions below). 

March class meets on March 7, 21, and 28, 2026 from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm.

April class meets April 11, 18, and 25, 2026 from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

Join Jean to learn the basics of sewing. We're in Stitches is supplying the sewing machines--you just need to bring your materials and basic sewing supplies. You will make a pillowcase, a 20-Minute Table Runner and a basic tote bag. Three 3-hour sessions. Please read all information for instructions and class supplies.  No experience necessary!

In an effort to keep classes affordable, we ask that you purchase all supplies and materials from We're In Stitches.  Before purchasing materials, check to make sure that the class minimum of 3 students has been met. Students are eligible for a 10% discount on supplies purchased for class; online customers should make a note at checkout listing name of class and which items apply to have the discount applied manually.

By signing up for a class, you agree to in-class photography, which we use on our social media to promote the class experience to others.

Supplies needed:

Pillowcase kit --choose in person from a variety of styles!

20 Minute Table Runner pattern

Fabric requirements according to the table runner pattern

3/4 yard tote exterior fabric

1 1/4 yards for tote contrast and lining

2 yards Pellon Decor Bond interfacing (click here for SIB0086)

Thread to match/complement your fabrics

Travel iron and ironing mat

You will also need a basic sewing kit. This should include the following:

• Fabric cutting scissors
• Straight pins
• Seam ripper
• Marking tool (we recommend the Chaco Liner Pen)
• 45 mm rotary cutter
• 18" rotary ruler

You may wish to bring a snack or lunch to eat during class.

This class meets at Bernina We're in Stitches, 2310 East North St., Greenville, SC 29607.  From I-385, take exit 40A onto North Pleasantburg Dr.  In about 3/4 mile, turn left onto East North St.  Shortly after you turn, you'll see We're in Stitches on your left.  Please park beside the building to leave space for customers out front.
