Class meets January 13, 2026 from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm.
Turn a blah kitchen towel into a piece of art by adding a towel topper! Grab your embroidery machine and join Laurie to get a walk through of the process. Once you master the basics, you'll be making more for every season!
In an effort to keep classes affordable, we ask that you purchase all supplies and materials from Marietta's Quilt & Sew. Before purchasing materials, check to make sure that the class minimum of 3 students has been met. Students are eligible for a 10% discount on supplies purchased for class; online customers should make a note at checkout listing name of class and which items apply to have the discount applied manually.
By signing up for a class, you agree to in-class photography, which we use on our social media to promote the MQS class experience to others.
Before class:
You will need to purchase and download the design of your choice, in a format that works for your embroidery machine. Embroidery Library has loads of towel topper designs to explore! Laurie made her sample using this design, but she also likes this one for Valentine's Day. Save the design that you purchase on your embroidery machine.
Supplies needed:
Lightweight canvas in color of your choice; you may use additional canvas on the back or substitute scrap fabric.
Embroidery machine with embroidery unit and the right hoop size for your chosen design
Embroidery threads to match your design
1/2 yard cutaway stabilizer
3/4" wide elastic (enough to go across your chosen design)
1" wide strapping for hanging loop
Lunch or snack to eat during class
